¶ Overview
In order to upgrade to a developer account, you must have first registered a standard user account with heyVR, and be logged in with your standard account.
Registrering a standard heyVR user account is possible via Facebook or Google authentication, or by e-mail signup.
¶ Upgrade to a Developer Account
Being logged in to your heyVR account, navigate to the Developer Area menu option. There you are given the option to upgrade to a developer account.
Make sure to input all required fields and read & accept the Publishing Guidelines. Upgrade your account by clicking on the 'Upgrade To Developer' button, after which the Developer Dashboard will appear below your user menu on the left side of your screen.
¶ Manage your Developer Profile
All developer accounts come with a public profile (heyvr.io/developer/yourname). You can at any time update your profile under the Developer Profile menu option.
¶ Downgrading your Developer Account
Developers can downgrade their accounts and become a normal user again. You can do this by navigating to the 'Settings' menu option and clicking the 'Downgrade Account' button under the 'Account Termination' section.
You can not directly delete your profile if you have a published game. In such cases, please contact our support team.
